Conference Format

How many times have you gone through an entire conference without being asked to contribute?  That will not happen at NAVPA 2017!

It is a pleasure to invite you to the National Association of Veterans Program Administrators (NAVPA) 2017 Annual Conference, October 23-26 at the Caesars Hotel and Casino on the Atlantic City Boardwalk in Atlantic City,  New Jersey.

We believe that we all share challenges, and we can put our heads together to find solutions. This year, we will again offer four concurrent breakout tracks to meet a range of needs and interests among the different professionals in your organization.  Each of the tracks is carefully designed to address challenges, best practices, and/or proposed solutions along four different themes:

  • SCO Challenges and Best Practices
  • Campus Program Challenges
  • Community Collaboration Opportunities
  • Leadership Challenges & Academic Success

It is our goal to generate a wide variety of actionable resolutions by the conference end that will improve programming and services for the veteran population we seek to serve.  To do so, we’ve made the sessions longer to create time and space for brainstorming and collaborative problem-solving.  At least half of each of the 75-minute breakout sessions will be dedicated to idea generation and the active participation of attendees.  Bring your ideas to the table!

Call for Proposals: we are now accepting session proposals for the 2017 conference!  Proposals are due on or before May 5, 2017.  For more information about session proposals or to submit a proposal, please click here.
